Brand and Flavor: Soex Strawberry

Shisha Cut: Juicy and thin

Hookah Type: Abyss 3hose

Duration: 45min

Bowl: Egyptian Bowl

Foil / Screen: 2 layer normal alu foil.

Coal / Amount: 2x three kings

Smoke: good cloud & thick smoke.
Buzz: none

Smell / Flavor: For the smell and flavor... the smell kinda smelled like an artificial strawberry to me. For the flavor.. im not a huge fan of herbal shisha so the smoke to me was kinda harsh and i didnt like the flavor.

Rating (1 to 10): 2 (Im not herbal shisha fan) but still good cloud and thick smoke.

But cant put more then 2 since the herbal + taste isnt appealing to me.

Brand and Flavor: Soex Vanilla

Shisha Cut: Drier than expected, almost like greasy garden mulch

Hookah Type: KM Jewel

Duration: 45 mins

Bowl: Egyptian

Foil / Screen: Single Layer Heavy Duty Foil/Windcover

Coal / Amount: Cocobrico x 2 (had 3rd on standby but not needed)

Smoke: Thick clouds

Buzz: N/A - you could tonk on this all day with no buzz.

Smell / Flavor: Smell is not quite Vanilla, a sweet smell for sure but a little off the mark. Flavour is almost soapy on the exhale, only the aftertaste gives the merest hint of Vanilla. The same "herbally" taste was found in another Soex flavour I recently tried.

Rating (1 to 10): 3 - this smoking experience was less than satisfactory. The big clouds were a novelty but lack of flavour is a real downer on any session. I don't think I will purchase any more from the Soex range and stick to real tobacco.

Default Soex

Brand And Flavor: Soex Double Apple

Shisha Cut: Like wet mulch

Hookah Type: Crappy $10 Egyptian Hookah

Duration: 30 Mins

Bowl: Standard Bowl

Foil / Screen: Single layer of heavy strenght foil

Coal / Amount: 2 Quick Lights

Smoke: Pretty good clouds..Medium thickness

Buzz: No buzz

Smell / Flavor: Not very good, tasted slightly of double apple with a sort of rubber taste

Rating (1 to 10): 6, Not a great flavor, although clouds were decent and very very cheap for a 50g box from my local store...

Brand And Flavor: Soex Chocolate

Shisha Cut: Dry mulch, not very wet compared to other soex flavors

Hookah Type: 11' Modded Hookah

Duration: 30 Mins

Bowl: Vortex

Foil / Screen: Single layer Heavy Strenght Foil

Coal / Amount: 3 Coco Nara

Smoke: Medium, Clouds are pretty light

Buzz: No Buzz

Smell / Flavor: I haven't tryed many soex flavours, but this was a slightly differnet one, the bag smells like really wet strong chocolate and the taste was quite the same..Still wasn't very enjoyable as the chocolate taste turned into a very dry smokey chocolate taste in the first 5 mins

Rating (1 to 10): 5.5/10...Not recomended

Brand and Flavor: Soex Strawberry

Shisha Cut: Looked like lots of little pine needles, with a few leaves. Fairly dry.

Hookah Type: KM 32" Tri-Metal

Duration: About 1 hour and 20 minutes

Bowl: regular Egyptian bowl, quite shallow

Foil / Screen: 2 layers of regular foil

Coal / Amount: 1 normal quicklite, when that one burned out I added another.

Smoke: Pretty good clouds throughout, comparable with AF. Got a bit thin for the last 10 mins though.

Buzz: No buzz at all.

Smell / Flavor: It definitely smelt like Strawberry, but more like candy strawberry, very sweet and pleasantly artificial. The taste was quite nice and mellow, definitely a strawberry flavour on the tongue. The smoke smelt very fruity.

Rating (1 to 10): 8 / 10 - A pretty good flavour, for Soex. I'd buy it again.

Brand and Flavor: Soex Mango

Shisha Cut: Typical Soex cut, like lots of little sticks and leaves. pretty dry.

Hookah Type: KM 32" Tri-Metal

Duration: About 30 mins

Bowl: Egyptian

Foil / Screen: 2 layers of regular foil

Coal / Amount: 1 QL

Smoke: Not a hell of a lot of it, pretty thin.

Buzz: None

Smell / Flavor: Definately smelled of actual mango in the box, but with a weird artificial element to it. Tasted nasty, kind of like crayons!

Rating (1 to 10): 3/10 I'll never smoke it again. Wouldn't recommend it.

Brand and Flavor: Soex Apple

Shisha Cut:dry wood shaving looking things

Hookah Type: King Moassell petite jr

Duration: 45 min

Bowl: blown glass mod

Foil / Screen: reynolds aluminum foil

Coal / Amount: 1 starlight ql

Smoke: little amount and whispy

Buzz: none, very saddening

Smell / Flavor: smelled like cough syrup from a hospital, flavor was ok, slight apple, with some nasty flavor probably because of the ql

Rating (1 to 10): ill give it a 4, it might have been ok if i had been using a better hookah and not been using qls but still really disappointing, but i bought it off ebay so i expected it

Thought I give a review of my shisha experience so far.

Brand and Flavor: Soex Banana

Shisha Cut:Looks like mulch or fine lemongrass, fairly dry

Hookah Type: Small cheapo generic hookah

Duration: 40 mins

Bowl: Mya

Foil / Screen: Double Layer of Normal Aluminium Foil

Coal / Amount: 2 Golden River QL's

Smoke: Nice thick clouds

Buzz: None (herbals)

Smell / Flavor: On first smell, kinda smelt like candy bananas, taste the same not too strong a taste.

Rating (1 to 10): I would give it a 6, I personally like the taste of the candy banana nice clouds. No buzz though and very easy to burn if your not careful, shisha was slightly dryer than what I have seen with some of Soex's other flavours.

Brand and Flavor: Soex Black Licorice

Shisha Cut: Little twigs

Hookah Type: Magdy Zidan

Duration: 45min-1 hour

Bowl:Vortex bowl

Foil / Screen: 1 foil

Coal / Amount: 2 quick lights

Smoke: Thick puffy clouds

Buzz: None

Smell / Flavor: Definitely smells like licorice out of the box, but only has a slight licorice flavor.
This was a let down as I really like licorice and was hoping for a more intense flavor.

Rating (1 to 10): 3, disappointing overall.

Brand and Flavor: Soex Double Apple

Shisha Cut: Looked pretty decent, some pieces were long but most were proportional. As for moisture, it was soaked. Very, very soaked. The bag holding the bag was soaked.

Hookah Type: 10 inch small pumpkin vase (Yes, I'm a newb :/)

Duration: Lasted a long time, like 2 hours I think. I was really getting my smoke on that day too.

Bowl: Ceramic bowl (Still a newb :l)

Foil / Screen: 1 layer of heavy duty foil

Coal / Amount: 1 Three Kings Quicklight.

Smoke: Dense, puffy clouds.

Buzz: None.

Smell / Flavor: It smelt really nice and had a smooth taste.

Rating (1 to 10): Since I haven't tried tobacco Shisha yet and have only been exposed to Herbal (I accidentally got herbal, beginners mistake :l) I can't rate it to other brands, so I'll just give it a stand-a-lone rating of 8/10. I can't give it an honest 9 or 10 because I did have some harsh smoke from time to time, may have not have been the shisha itself but still.

Brand and Flavor: Soex Black Licorice.

Shisha Cut: Looked like wood chips.

Hookah Type: 18 inch mini.

Duration: 45 minutes.

Bowl: Mini egyptian

Foil / Screen: Reynolds.

Coal / Amount: 1 1/2 starlight QL's

Smoke: Fairly thick for what it is.

Buzz: None

Smell / Flavor: Smell: Very weak, but sweet black licorice. Flavor: Too weak...probably the reason it's so cheap.

Rating (1 to 10): 6/10. Price is decent ($1.50 more and you can try something a lot better). The flavor was weak, and the wood chip type cut wasn't very nice.

Brand and Flavor: Soex Lychee

Shisha Cut: like fine pine needles

Hookah Type: chinese pumpkin hookah

Duration: 50 minutes

Bowl: standard clay bowl

Foil / Screen: thick foil 1 layer

Coal / Amount: 1 hamil al musk

Smoke: thick dense clouds, like plumes

Buzz: non

Smell / Flavor: In the packet, smells very strong of lychee. When smoking although it had a very nice fruity taste, it was also very sweet and didn't specifically taste of lychee

Rating (1 to 10): I give it a 8.5 because flavour was sweet and fruity, and great clouds but i knock off 1.5 because it didnt actually taste of lychee.

Default Re: Soex

i can review every flavor of soex that i've tried at once, because i'd write the same review for all of them, word for word.

Brand and Flavor: soex (mixed fruit, red cherry, citrus)

Shisha Cut: tiny diced pieces, falls through the holes in the bowl real easily.

Hookah Type: alternating between an 18" generic and a 34" KM kafae.

Duration: not long.

Bowl: alternating between a small ceramic bowl and an egyptian ceramic bowl.

Foil / Screen: alternating between a screen and wal-mart foil.

Coal / Amount: various quicklights, hollands, 3 kings, etc.

Smoke: thick when mixed with starbuzz (thicker than straight up starbuzz), thin on its own.

Buzz: it's herbal. none.

Smell / Flavor: smells exactly like whatever it says on the box. the cherry smells like fresh cherries, the citrus smells like fresh oranges, etc. the taste, though, is invariably chalky and reminds me of the way clay smells.

Rating (1 to 10): 3. cheap herbal is even worse than good herbal.

Brand and Flavor: Soex Double Apple
Shisha Cut: Flaky, Dry. A light breeze would scatter it everywhere.
Hookah Type: KM Amer, Single Hose
Duration: ~45 Min
Bowl: Sahara Vortex
Foil / Screen: Two layers of reg, no screen
Coal / Amount: 3 Cocomazayas
Smoke: Minimal, fluttery, harsh
Buzz: None
Smell / Flavor: Smell and flavor were decent, when not harsh.
Rating (1 to 10):5/10

Additionally, I mixed it half and half with AF Mint. The juice from the mint made up for the dryness of the Soex DA and made for an all around better smoking experience. I would rate the Soex DA/AF Mint session a 7/10 with the same exact setup.

Brand and Flavor: Soex - Watermelon

Shisha Cut: Fine small, Looks like shredded tree bark

Hookah Type:1st time: MYA Acrylic; 2nd: Social smoke pro 2 hose

Duration:Both times around 1:15

Bowl: MYA:Lebanese slandered bowl; S.S: Egyptian bowl

Foil / Screen: MYA: single Dollar General foil; S.S: double DG foil

Coal / Amount:MYA: 2 Holland coals; S.S: 2 CocoNara coals

Smoke: Pretty nice both times, seemed much better the second time around. (huge smoke clouds)

Buzz: None

Smell / Flavor: The smell is odd, in my opinion it doesnt smell or taste very much like Watermelon.(I cant exactly pinpoint the flavor) Once again, the flavor was more intense a second time around.

Rating (1 to 10): On average i would give this a 5/10 because the first time I got a headache. The flavor was there, but not the right flavor. The clouds aren't very important to mebut to most they are, and the clouds were pretty fluffy and think. On my second time smoking this, the flavor didn't get that intense till half an hour in.

Brand and Flavor: Soex - Roohafza

Shisha Cut: typical soex, shredded bark like appearance, but this one was too dry compared to silverfox

Hookah Type: 19" Indian

Duration: 20 Mins (we stopped it half way)

Bowl: Standard Mod

Foil / Screen: High Quality Kitchen Foil

Coal / Amount: 1 Holland Quicklites

Smoke: not impressed with smoke, it was less than average and it felt more dry

Buzz: no buzz (didn't expect anyways)

Smell / Flavor: I am Indian, and almost every Indian knows what roohafza is, its a Sweet rose syrup with some added flavors like mint and spices.
but this shisha didnt smell or taste like roohafza at all, it smelt more like dry roses or rose perfume, didnt felt natural.
about the flavor, it was way too mild, we didnt enjoy it and stopped it half way

Rating (1 to 10): 5/10 less smoke, less flavour, i wld not recommend it to anyone or buy it again

Duration: About 45 minutes to an hour

Bowl: Standard bowl that came with the hookah

Foil / Screen: 1 standard foil

Coal / Amount: 1 Ignite QL

Smoke: Thick clouds start to finish. It was pretty great

Buzz: None

Smell / Flavor: It smells weird in the box but when it burns it left my room smelling fruity. It tasted amazing! Me and all my friends really enjoyed the flavor

Rating (1 to 10): 9/10 I'v tried AF Cinnamon Roll and Romman Strawberry. It was better than the AF but not Romman. It was definitely better than I expected

Brand and Flavor: Soex Bombay Paan Masala

Shisha Cut: Fine cut, mildly juicy BUT very easy to pack

Hookah Type: AF Cafe 28"

Duration: 1 hour

Bowl: Chinese Phunnel

Foil / Screen: Heavy Duty

Coal / Amount: 2 Cocobuzz 1.0

Smoke: Fairly thick

Buzz: None

Smell / Flavor: Smelt of paan out the box, very pungent and on the money. As for taste, pretty much the same! Strong paan taste which resonates in your throat! I was pleasantly surprised! It is a refreshingly different flavour. Having eaten actual paan myself, I can say this is a flavour true to its namesake.

Rating (1 to 10): Solid 8/10, nice smoke that is refreshing. I didn't miss my tobacco whilst smoking this.
