Default Simple way to help save your carpet

Well I am 19 and still live with my parents so I have to try and be careful when smoking, after burning and frantically covering up burns on my carpet I came up with an idea on how to potentially fix this.
What I did was get a piece of card board and laid some wet paper towels on it so if any thing happens it would land on that instead of the carpet. Its a simple quick fix!

yeah, I always lay down a cheapo old towel under my hookah so if it falls over the coals land on that.
but cardboard works great too.
also if your really into the whole authenticity thing buy a cheap but thick middle eastern rug to set it on.
I smoke with a girl from the middle east and they have a giant rug they brough with them from iran, and set the hookah in the middle of it then all sit on cushions around the hookah.
its pretty cool to smoke with them.

lol I have never dropped a coal besides when in the car smoking hookah with 5 other people haha.
I just keep the towel there cuz ocasionally Some ash falls off and its easy to just shake out the towel instead of trying to vacuum it up haha

I went the Home Depot and bought an Italian 20" x 20" floor tile to put mine on. Works great.

I got a friend who uses a piece of wood. It is a square piece that goes under the hookah obviously, but it provides equal coverage all around the hookah. I just used to use towels. By the time it could burn through it I would have it back in the ash tray anyway. The wood thing seems like a good idea, unless your coal broke into a million pieces from the impact. That could be trouble.

lol, is it legal to smoke the hookah in the car. I can just imagine pulling up besides someone with my tinted windows down half way and huge clouds billowing out with my mouth attached to a cobra hose. People wouldn't know what to think.

I smoke at school in my car all the time. I have a black car with tint almost as dark as limo tint too lol. I've had campus police come by as they inspect for parking permits and they don't really care to look. Just gotta be reeeeal careful with the beige interior

I used a cookie sheet. It worked out well for me. I even ashed the coals on it because the tray was about as useless as nipples on a man.

Yay, first post.

Hey yall. So at my old apartment, we used to have this utter crap quality entrance mat which was super thick under the hookah. Worked like a champ. My other way (but least desired) is to use my wind guard. On my freezer bowl, it sits firmly ontop of it and whenever it fell over, the coal always stayed inside while also adding padding for my bowl.

You could always just wrap a long piece of foil around the bowl and just wall in the coal; it never fails.

I just keep a hefty plate under mine, it has never let me down since. Plus I need to use it anyway because the tray on my hookah is only a little bigger than the bowl..lame..

Funny thing is, I have never dropped a coal off of my hookah. I am just super careful I guess. Good idea though. I think I will try this just to be safe. Cheers.

Exactly. I was just about to suggest it when I read this. I would recommend picking up a 100% wool rug as wool is naturally flame retardant so it is less likely to sport burn marks and such. There's some on eBay and other discount online outlets so be sure to shop around. I picked my 5x7 all black basket pattern rug up at Home Goods on clearance for $35. Well worth the price!
