Default Tangiers Pico

So i purchased a new tangiers pico #8 bowl from hookahset and this thing is super small. I was a bit surprised at how tiny it was and was wondering if anyone else has ordered one yet. Comparing the two reviews i have seen on youtube, this one is a lot smaller. I've tried smoking tangiers static starlight out of it but it seems two coals burns it and one with a windcover isnt enough?? Any thoughts?

i have a 7ico, which is a bit bigger but still very small, i was finding the same thing, but i started to pack just abit below the spire and i think becasue of the extra space from the tin foil it seemed to cook alot better.

In the military, so shipping to me is the same as shipping to another state in the US.

I had this same problem. Basically I packed just slightly below where I normally would for a tangiers small (visually on the spire) and then i use 2 coco jamras hedgestoned (standing up on the edge) with a windcover. Once they get smaller then you can rotate/flip/drop em down (usually drop em one at a time 5-10 mins apart so heat dies down a bit) till theyre no longer big enough. THEN OFF TO 2 MORE!

good luck, experiment and let us know what you find as well

Not to be a dick - but it's "stonehenged" not "hedgestoned"

ROFL

Just cut a coconut coal in half, use the two halves, that should be just enough for tangiers, add a 3rd half down the road etc etc

yes this was my problem tonight, i cut a bar of exotica in half and threw the two pieces on and 1) finally realized that i hate those coals, and two it was burning when too close or not smoking at all when two far. i actually went inside and an impatient friend moved them in and it immediately burned. it seemed to smoke fairly well at some points with the coals just right however

I have a 7ico, so its a bit bigger, but I'm able to use 2 cocoultimates no problem. When I start, I move them to the edge, almost hanging off a bit. Then gradually move them inwards.

i use the same amount of coals which works for both the small and the pico
1.5 coals. 3 half coals around the edge of the bowl. use windcover when warming up the bowl for like 3 minutes then take the windcover off and smoke away. you do have to rotate the coals more and the bowl does not last as nearly as long as a small but its the perfect bowl to smoke for a good hour to an hour and a half. great for sampling multiple flavors

I use 2 cocos stonehenged on both my 7ico and my pico, hardly ever used a wind cover, because the one I have is too short to fit over my tangiers bowls. need to order a taller one.
