Default Been gone a year.

Hey HP, how has it been. I had stopped smoking hookah for about a year, no particular reason but just did. But I've decided to get back into the hookah world.

Just wanna know anything new within the community, any good products or sisha come out. Any recommendations for anything really.

Also Have A question, have had some natraul coals for about 4 years. Would they be good still? Should I just toss em and buy some new coals.

As long as they haven't been exposed to moisture the coals should be good. Test light some and see how they ash and stay lit. In the last year the only new products I've enjoyed are shika bowls. The oblivion is my fave. Not bad for 8 or 9 bucks from ultimate hookah. Heavy clay Phunnel. Really aside from new pipes I can't not any new accessories.

Have you tried out the lotus or mig or similar heat management solution? Great investment.

Welcome back. You havent missed much. Stone Genesis bowls by Brandon George
( Stoneware) are nice as are the borodilicate Mazaj bowls from Ultimate hookah. Kaloud Lotus are nice for those times when you dont want to worry about heat management.

Honestly though, despite all the new tobacco offerings and toys out there, i still smoke the same things i did two decades ago, prfer foil to the heat management gimmicks, and favor egys and unglazed clays.

Thats just me. I abhor change.

What's going on with Nak, that was my favorite shisha. Oh the horror, the horror.

But really, has the quality changed and what's going on.

Seriously though, i just finished up my first 250 of Two Apple in the "new" packaging with the "AF" cut. Tastes same as it always did, a little wetter, bleeds down the stem if you use an egy or non phunnel clay. I havent done an overpack yet. My concern is that the new cut will not lend itself to being overpacked ( though i didnt notice any change so far in its ability to handle heat.) we shall see.

According to whom? JTI took over in 2013. Earl grey has been available consistently since ( sometimes in 250gs, sometimes in 50gs). Ive never not heen able to get it from Karabetian.

Because its not shown on the pathetic Nakhla usa website, folks have surmised its demise. Others have speculated it will become a seasonal flavor.

Bottom line is that its scarcity is more likely due to the fact that its an " acquired taste". Probably not the biggest seller. ( keep in mind "OUR" tastes are not the norm)

I think rather imc or juggy posted it in a thread not long ago. Also read online it was suppose to go seasonal with Mizo lemon.

La la la la la...... I cant hear you.

Karabetian suggests that theyre sorting out packaging. As ive said, sometimes 250's are available, other times 50's.

Hookah Wholesalers believed it may become a seasonal flavor.

Personally, until i can no longer obtain it, i favor the " head in the sand" approach. ( keeps me off water towers near JTI's Corporate Offices with a mark 19)

Yea hookahset has it in stock still. I ordered some 2 weeks ago. I tend to believe most things you imc and jug say about things like this so I have no real sources. I pray to god they keep earl gray. There isn't anything close to it I like. Even though when I smoke it my friend Ryan asks if that smell is the Shisha or did I pour lemon pledge in my vase. I admit it has that lemon pledge smell. It's just heavenly to smoke though. I may mix some with that afzal Bombay pan I have left from osv and smoke that in a bit.
