Default AF large solid, new ventures.

hello everyone, I have been away for some time but I'm back (been moving, picked up RDA's and started doing motovlogs).
I'm looking to get a new hookah and the AF large solid has gotten my attention.
I would like to know if there are other hookah's with a similar look for a decent price. I've been looking and can't find anything. any help would be great, thanks.

Not robust? I thought the AF hookahs were brass.

They've been made in China for a few years now.

The quality has decreased, badly.
-The downstem is now unscrewable which leads to crossthreading. They also threw an extra plastic one for some reason?
-It's common chambered instead of traditional, like on any cheap Chinese hookah.
-The engravings on the actual stem look like shit.

I would only recommend this stem if you like cheap Chinese hookahs that last for 3 months. If the downstream doesn't crossthread first, you'll have to deal with rust later on.

yup... km and shika took advantage of the demand for the AF solid after AF stopped producing, and they did it very well... the only time i would say to pick up an AF over the sorya or prince is if its a 1st gen solid... but those are extremely rare...

the AF solid has always been screw together... dunno if u guys know that or not... the only difference is, on older generations, the downstem was soldered under the chamber between the hose and purge ports, but the whole top has always been screw together with a tiny dab of solder to keep the threading from coming apart....

source:
i once took apart my old 2nd gen solid to try to fix an air leak...

you can actually turn ur AF large solid into an af medium or small solid this way by removing sections and cutting down the downstem lol

but they have never actually been solid....

.... I have a first gen solid with traditional chamber that does NOT screw apart. For a short time they were made in Egypt by the Khan El Khalili factory.
